Lenovo ThinkPad T420s, W520 and X220

I tried using nawcom's MBR patch for 10.7.2, but I encountered some issues and thus I was forced to use the original Apple Store Mac OS X Lion USB flash drive with nawcom's MBR patch for 10.7.

Lenovo ThinkPad T420s
  • For some reason, nothing is displayed on the LCD screen and if you attach an external LCD through VGA or DVI, it appears as though it's a secondary screen to the right. So you can't see the primary display.
  • I've used a ThinkPad docking station too 4337-10U, but it doesn't do much of anything -
    • If anyone has found a way around this, I sure would like to know!!
Lenovo ThinkPad W520
  • This Lenovo has the NVIDIA Quardo 2000M Graphics Card, default setting in BIOS
  • Still need to use the original 10.7 GM release with nawcom's MBR patch, because these ThinkPad's have EFI capable BIOS, but freak's out if it finds a GPT formatted disk with an EFI partition at the front
  • I get random KPs on restarts, this is probably due to a non-existent DSDT
Lenovo ThinkPad X220
  • Installation works like a charm in terms of using tonymacx86 and MacMan's UniBeast 1.0 tool
    • Still need to use the original 10.7 GM release with nawcom's MBR patch, because these ThinkPad's have EFI capable BIOS, but freak's out if it finds a GPT formatted disk with an EFI partition at the front
  • VoodooHDA 0.27.3 causes a KP on boot, so you need to move it out of /S/L/E and install it upon logging in
  • I don't have a DSDT yet, but I'm working on that
